As such there is a requirement to have an airfield Rescue & Fire Fighting Service providing cover to the appropriate Category - this is determined by a combination of an aircraft’s length and cabin width - this is used to calculate the amount of firefighting media (Foam concentrate and Water) required Duxford’s day to day fire Category is CAT 2 (aircraft up to but not including 12m in length) Higher category cover up to CAT 6 is available at 48 hours notice This is NOT an official IWM site
