In addition to the fire training ground, Duxford’s crews also carry out rescue and other drills all around the 300 acre site, covering many different scenarios as well as aircraft incidents, these include building rescues, ensuring that personnel are prepared for any eventuality.Road Traffic Collision (RTC) training is carried out just down the road at Charlton’s automotive breakersOutside fire teams and services from industry and other airfields and other organisations also come to train using our facilities, including British Antarctic Survey.We also provide fire extinguisher training for I.W.M.
